Next one in our area Dec, 18th. 2012 in Malibu.
Anybody up for it?
Go to the website and check out the ones in other states.
I went to the one in Arizona this year and it is a great workout and they have all the different age groups to compete in.
It was worth the 8 Hour drive to get to Rawhide ,AZ where the competition was held.
100 guys take off about every hour all day till about two o'clock.
About a +-12 miles of running involved.
Best of all...We are not racing that day.

Spartan Work Out Days

Coming together is a beginning.
Keeping together is progress.
Working together is success.

-Henry Ford

Take advantage of the weekend to train with friends. It will do you all some good to pick a time (4:30 am is suggested) and get some quality exercise in together.

Warm up:
50 jumping jacks
50 seal jacks
10 burpees

Main Set:
Run 5k-10k together (bring sandbags of different weights and rotate them) then
30 squat jumps
30 jumping lunges
30 burpees

Cool Down:
Stretch - 15 minutes

If you like working as a team, we definitely suggest you check out our Hurricane Heats at your next Spartan Race.

Why WOD?
Because you are committed. Because you are hungry not to just show up and get through a Spartan Race, but you are hungry to show up and dominate the clock with a peak performance. Spartan Race is here to help you achieve your fitness goals.

As always, take the WOD as a general outline to best meet your current fitness and goals. We can't dial into every Spartan's workout schedule. Use these suggested WOD's as a starting point to develop your own Spartan training regiment.

This is a motorcycle club,
And why hasn't this thread been deleted from 2011, and I'm sure all of these posts are eating up bandwidth.
Please esplain Lucy....lol

This is related training for MX racing...Look at KB and say Triathlons don't help his results.
Maybe we can hide an MX bike in the bushes and ride it some at the spartan race.
I'm bringing mine...lol...maybe we're on to something .
Like having an event that has MX riding in the mix of running-28 obstacles and climbing.
Last dog standing-plus!
