We headed out to the Glen Helen Raceway National Track for the 9th Annual 9/11 Memorial Race which doubled as Round 2 of the 2024 Triple Crown Series. Long time members Rich Hurtado (#100G) and Keith Brockmann (#55G) presided over a somber, tearful, and reflective opening ceremony to look back on the events that transpired 23 years ago.
After opening ceremonies, racers were treated to what can only described as an EPIC DAY. Overcast weather in the 70s, a perfectly prepped track, and a big turn out of competitors! There were tight battles in every moto and constant chatter of how amazing the track was. We were truly spoiled with the conditions.
Thank you to the riders, spectators, and track crew for such an amazing day. It’s days like this that make the effort worth it for the OTHG South Chapter board.
