The Over The Hill Gang was established in 1974 and has continued to be the Premier Vet Motocross Club! OTHG has five chapters of which the South chapter was the first and thus carries the number plate letter of “G”. Each of the other chapters are also lettered as follows: Bay (B), Reno (R), Sierra (S), Valley (V).

The Over The Hill Gang family stretches throughout California and into Nevada! Of all the MX racing opportunities available, the Gang is the best place to set your helmet as the club is member run and operated with a focus on keeping all riders safe and competing within their respective abilities. The club uses electronic scoring and timing and rider input to ensure riders are in their proper classification as most riders are in transition with their abilities and skills as they go through a season.

You’ll find racing the Gang to be fun, safe and rewarding! We have local and national events to bring a variety of racing dynamics that we know you’ll find challenging and fun for the whole family!

The age class that you are eligible to compete in is based upon your age as of Dec 31 of the current race year. For example, if you turn 38 years old on December 31, 2024, you are eligible to race in the 38+ age division for the entire season. The following are the age divisions and skill level classes of the OTHG:

*Please note that for Beginner class only, the highest age bracket is 52 and over.

If you compete at non-vet races please note that vet classifications (based upon historical lap times within the OTHG) are at least one level, sometimes two levels lower than non-vet events. For example, if you are competitive in Novice with Swap Moto, you are likely Intermediate or even Expert speed with our club.

Do you own a MyLaps Transponder? *

OTHG South chapter utilizes electronic scoring with MyLaps transponders. You may use your own transponder if you have one. If you don’t own or forget your transponder, you will need to rent one each race day When you rent a transponder from OTHG, you will pay for your rental at the track. Rental of the transponder is $10 and if you need a bracket, you can purchase one for $10. You will be required to present a Drivers License or other Government Issued ID for collateral at signups. You will be able to retrieve your ID back at signups when you return the rented transponder at the conclusion of your race day.
