Breaking news! Our 2025 Schedule is nearly complete, with a race now added to February. Here’s the breakdown for our first month of racing this year:
- February 2nd – Glen Helen Raceway (no change)
- February 16th – Honolulu Hills Raceway
- February 22nd – LACR MX Practice Day
- February 23rd – LACR MX Race Day (Vet Track)
***With the addition of the race on February 23rd, we are now up to FIVE DROPS for 2025. As a reminder, 20% of the schedule is dropped, rounded to the nearest whole.
First, we’d like to thank United Motocross. Amongst the uncertainties and pressure to finalize our schedule, they graciously offered to book us at Honolulu Hills Raceway for the same weekend we originally had LACR booked. Not 30 minutes later, LACR was on the table, which is why we are now racing back to back weekends. We will take 2 races over 0 races any day!
Honolulu Hills Raceway will be the kick off to the 2025 South vs Valley Series. This series will feature awesome overall trophies for all class winners at the end of the year, as well as the BIG chapter trophy to whichever chapter comes out on top!
So, what’s going with LACR? They are still fighting and exercising all options to fully re-open, but there are currently no plans beyond some events in February. We are extremely thankful to be on the shortlist of promoters/clubs they are working with to host races. If you’re wondering what you can do to help LACR, we highly encourage you to sign the change.org petition and provide comments to support their re-opening. Additionally, you can consider donating to the GoFundMe Campaign that was started by local riders.
There will be an open practice Saturday, February 22nd and an OTHG race on Sunday, February 23rd. We’re still working out some details… Maybe a BBQ Saturday? Maybe some special races/classes on Sunday? We don’t know yet as things have been happening fast, but we’ll share details as they come. What we do know is that it will be Round 2 of the South vs Valley Series, with the Valley OTHG chapter joining us.
With that said, the February 22-23 weekend might be the last time you’ll be able to ride or race at LACR MX for a long time, so come on out!
