The 2025 racing season has come to a close! It was certainly a bit of an anti-climactic finish and obviously not what we wanted… For those that were not there, racing was cancelled due to a power outage. We were ready to go with generators, but unfortunately there were other factors at play that kept us from dropping gates.
So what did we do? We sprayed some champagne! We were there to finish the season and celebrate our top 3 guys, and that is exactly what we did. Your 2025 OTHG South Chapter Top 3 Overall Finishers are:
1. Eric Clemson #61G
2. Jason Rollins #223G
3. Scott Sligar #1G
Each of these gentlemen battled a long and hard season. Scott Sligar was our number 1 rider from 2024 and was certainly looking for the repeat, but still proudly finished on the podium with steady and consistent finishes all season.
Jason Rollins is one of our newer and younger riders, who started in 38 Novice and moved up to Intermediate very quickly. He has shown competitive grit and speed and will be a force to be reckoned with in 2026!
Finally, Eric Clemson, our 2023 champion, was back with a vengeance! Eric, for the most part, dominated all year. For those that don’t remember, Eric’s 2023 win was a tie in points with another longtime member John Lombardo. That tie that was broken by Eric having a higher number of wins. This year, Eric was able to build up a cushion and finish comfortably on top. Congratulations to Eric “Doc” Clemson, a 2 time champion!
Thank you to everyone who came out for the celebration and to all of the events and races throughout the season. We truly appreciate our entire membership, families, friends, scorekeepers, track staff, and sponsors that make it possible for us to keep going year after year. We already have 2026 plans well underway and we look forward to another exciting year of racing.

The real celebration will be the 2025 Year-End Awards Banquet, taking place on January 31st, 2026 at Oscar’s Brewing Company in Temecula. There will be dnner, trophies, specialty awards, jackets, jerseys, and more! This is not an event you will want to miss.
