Round 3 of the South vs Valley Series took us to a very chilly and windy LACR MX. It’s no secret that mother nature has been playing a big part in our lives in Southern California for the past couple months, with record rain and snowfall throughout the winter season. Motocross riders are gritty though… So we still go to the races when the track is open!
Even with less than ideal weather, rider turn out was stellar and track prep was on point. There were great battles throughout the day, especially in our stacked Intermediate and Expert classes! Similar to our first round out at Cal City, it was interesting to see who would dare jump in the wind versus saving themselves for another day (or for the upcoming South National). Unlike Cal City however, it seemed that those who didn’t air it out were still able to keep pace for the most part, sometimes even taking the victory over more skillful jumpers. “Jumps for show, corners for dough”?
Don’t take our word for it though… You can analyze those lap times and check out some photos below! 1,185 shots this time, so take your time scrolling through.
