By-Laws Updated for 2023

The latest version of the By-Laws have been posted, taking into account all approved motions made at the final (Valley) National in 2022. Here are the motions that were passed at that Summit meeting:

  1. A RIDER THAT HAS BEEN PROMOTED MUST RIDE A MIMIMUN OF 15 RACES OR COMPETE IN THE CLASS FOR A MINIMUM OF TWO YEARS BEFORE THE RIDER CAN REQUEST TO BE RE-EVALUATED TO A LOWER CLASS.
  2. ONCE A RIDER HAS SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED A RE-EVALUATION PROCESS, THE RIDER CANNOT REQUEST ANOTHER RE-EVALUATION FOR A 5 YEAR PERIOD.
  3. PENALTY FOR NONCONFORMING BACKGROUDS, “DNS” DNS IS SCORED 99 POINTS
  4. A SUBJECT THAT HAS BEEN DISCUSSED AND VOTED ON AT A SUMMIT MEETING CANNOT BE BROUGHT BACK UP FOR A THREE-YEAR PERIOD.
  5. 1 RACE RULE AFTER A PROMOTION BEFORE THE RIDER CAN RACE A NATIONAL IS ELIMINATED.
  6. YELLOW FLAG RULE. A RIDER CANNOT JUMP OR PASS AN INDIVIUAL DURING A YELLOW FLAG, IT DOES NOT MATTER IF THE RIDER IS NOT IN YOUR CLASS, ABSOUTELY NO PASSING OR JUMPING REGARDLESS OF CLASS OR AGE.
  7. NATIONAL SERIES AWARDS – NATIONAL AWARDS WILL NOW BE GIVEN OUT FOR PARTICIPATING IN 51% OR MORE OF THE MOTO’S OF THE NATIONAL SERIES, BUT A RIDER PARTICIPATING IN MORE MOTOS WILL BE AWARDED SERIES AWARD VS. TOTAL POINTS. EXAMPLE: JOHN SMITH RACES 16 MOTOS AND WINS ALL MOTOS FOR A TOTAL OF 280 SERIES POINTS, BUT JOHN JONES RACES 20 MOTOS FOR A TOTAL OF 250 POINTS, JOHN JONES WILL BE AWARDED THE SERIES AWARD BY PARTICIPATING IN MORE MOTOS.
