Wow… What an amazing day of racing at Glen Helen Raceway! We had stacked gates and close competition throughout every one of the 24 classes that lined up. The most thrilling race was naturally the Master Open where the fastest riders battled for a piece of a $1,000 purse. Sean Lipanovich #505 went 1-1 with a healthy leads in both motos. Dennis Stapleton #184 and South Chapter member Dustin Pulliam #817G rounded out the podium. Pulliam’s 3rd place with 4-4 finishes proves that sometimes all you need is consistency to take home a trophy and some cash in your pocket. Good job Dustin!
Other highlights of the day included our Clydesdale and 125cc classes. Both of these races offered something a bit more unique and fun for racers and spectators alike. The Clydesdale class offered the largest riders a chance to battle for dad bod supremacy, while the 125cc class offered vet racers a chance to race the smallest possible full size bikes… and of course give spectators that amazing swarm-of-bees sound!

The South Chapter OTHG board was thrilled with the results of this inaugural event. We heard a ton of positive feedback throughout the day. We also heard (and LISTENED) to the criticisms as well. You can bet this event will return in 2024 and we will make the necessary adjustments and improvements to make the the OTHG Classic the most fun vet motocross race in California!
