Another great racing season in the books! We capped off 2023 by heading out to the Arroyo track at Glen Helen Raceway. A light breeze with temperature in the mid 70s meant we were destined for a perfect day of racing. Eric Clemson #2G and John Lombardo #42G battled hard in their respective classes all year for the top spot and came into this race ready to lay it down one more time.
What happened next was something we all perhaps expected. Both Eric and John are amazing, consistent, and fast riders who make very few mistakes. As a result, they both did exactly what they had to do to ensure maximum points at the end of the day, leaving them STILL in a tie! This is where our rules had to come into play… By virtue of having more moto wins throughout the season, Eric Clemson is the 2023 OTHG South Chapter Overall Champion!
John Lombardo was awarded with the 2nd place and the podium was rounded out with Bryan Dodge Sr #655G taking 3rd, just 11 points back of our top the top two.
Congratulations to all three gentlemen on a hard fought season! Each of them will no doubt be collecting several awards at our Year End Banquet taking place January 20, 2024.
